1777 01 17 : London attorney's letter about his bill

17 Jan 1777. LONDON ATTORNEY’S LETTER ABOUT HIS BILL. Bundle 62, Doc 16. 25.5 cm x 20 cm. No steward’s summary, address or seal – likely to have been enclosed in another letter. Sir Inclosed I send you the Bill desired – Mr. GRAHAM will see plainly what Costs accrued before & subsequent & on account of & subsequent to the Amendment therefore I have not distinguished them by seperate Bills as they distinguish themselves in the General Bill – neither have I distinguished any otherwise the Costs on GREENs making his Election as those also distinguish themselves in the General Bill – the Bill of the Cl~k of the peace is also inclosed, it seems a proper one & no part thereof is comprized in my Bill, there does not therein appear any additional Charge on Account of the Recognizances being sent to & fro’ twice ––– I doubt you will think my Bill of a large & unexpected amount. However I thought it more advisable to make out a full Bill to be sent into the Country for the Arbitrators – on the Return of it, if any Articles should appear improper (of which there may be several as I have not attended to that in the drawing as between you & me, but have only attended to what I may & have legally Charge & bring before the Arbitrators) ––– ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ they may be struck off – of this however you me should not take notice to Mr GRAHAM or Mr DOBSON but only send them the Bill as my your Attys. Bill on you in the several Causes – In my Letter of the 15th I mentioned abou[t] Mr. OWEN therefore say nothing in this Remain your obliged [signed] Jno MORGAN Ormd St Janry 17 1777
