20 May 1787. LETTER FROM BLACKHALL ABOUT RENTING LAND. Bundle 60, Doc 24. 20.5 cm x 16 cm. Red seal and a hole where it was torn open but the paper with the missing writing still adheres to the seal. I have wrot twise to you what I wood Give for the Tyith all to Geder or for my Own I tould you in both my Letters that I ould give forty pound ayear for it if you Ould not tie me in Less longer then thre years but as I find you will not lett it for les then seven years I shall Refar it to you for Seven years at forty pounds ayear tho I no the tithe will not be so good at thre years End as it is now by ten pound a year I have vued all the land in tilige I find thorty ackres of land lad down for hay this year if you do not Chous to let me hav the wholl at forty pound ayear: I will give you Eight pound ayear for my own farm for seven years but you may be shour I ould tack the wholl if I could mack the Rent of it as it ancers best for my farm when I have the wholl for manuer so I hoop you will do what you can for me for the wholl in so doing will mutch Oblige your most Humble Servent [signed] John STORY
