Imploy sum poor persons under me in the sumer season and In the winter season I could Imploy them in getting A few of Coles for my own use and sum few to sell [I u]nderstand you are wanting sum slate for the houses that Is going to be built at the Smelt Mill and sum for George FRANKLINGs thats nigh Langrig Crag If you have not bespoke for them I shall be glad to serve you and upon very reasonabel terms My Slate Is very good this year you likley wod think of having them from Hartley fell as It Is in your own liberties I was taking a view of things upon hartley fell won day and I looking Into the quary upon hartley fell I seed a very bad prospect of slate for this year no fresh wons got this spring nor any quantely but old wons that hase ben runthrow and a very bad prospect of geting from there, that wood sent you for those tow bildings that is going forwerd this spring I thought proper to aquaint you about things that you may look out In time Richard FARIDAY hase taken a slate quary upon Stanemoor which he is working this spring which If you Mene to have thm of him I can liver them cheaper then you may get them from him from there I will Liver good Slate at the smelt Mill at 2£. 14S pr Rood and The other building for tow pounds and sixteen Shillings which is a very bad plase to Leed any thint to If you wish to have any of my slate I shall be glad to hear from you as soon as posable before I take aney More buildings to slate this season I am Your Humbel Serent.
