28 Apr 1796. SOLICITOR’S LETTER ABOUT LIST OF TENANTS. Bundle 61, Doc 36. 39 cm x 24 cm, folded in half to make four pages. Second page blank. Black seal with corresponding hole where it was torn open. Mr. GRAVE 28 April 1796. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. OLDMAN Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Sir I have Copied the whole List of Names, and have since Struck out Cottagers intending to leave them to the Fate of others, as adding their Names would be idle on Accot. of the Expence –– I have also Struck out all those that have either paid or promised to pay –– And lastly I have Struck through all such Names as appear to be twice over, you will Examine it carefully, as I dont know all the Tenants, and there may be two persons of the Same Name –– You will Return me the whole of the Inclosed –– I will order to Call on his Return in the Even~g.
