22 May 1796. LETTER WITH NEWS FROM KIRKOSWALD. Bundle 61, Doc 34. 22.5 cm x 19 cm. Black seal obscuring some writing and corresponding hole where it was torn open. Ino. DIXON 22d. May 1796 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. OLDMAN Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ T’is Suppos’d. the Boundary [ ]e wrote upon Parchment Sir George DIXON of Parkhead (who has an Estate near James ATKINSON’s of Brackenthwaite) brought me the Boundary paper which you lent them, desiring you’ll take the trouble of looking over yr. Papers again to find the Original, they suppose it will be wrote in an Old Lattin hand at or near the same date as the inclos’d. Copy –– they will pay you for the trouble you are at ––––– I cannot yet help wishing that a passage might be made in Fogclose house not entirely on Acct. of the Passage but it would make such an excellent Back Kitchen with the Addition of about three feet ––– I am Sir yr. most Hble Servt.
