John SANDERSON 26 March 1792 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. Jona: OLDMAN at Eden Hall Cumberland ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Unthank March 26th –– 1792 –––––––––––––––– Dear Sir / I Resevid your Letter Sent by Isaac HOLMS, but I can not Pay you your Rent as yet; for I declare that I have not made tenn Shillings of it this year & I have been at Upwards of Tenn Pounds out Since Cristmis; My Brother William will be at no more Expence with it, so I am Pushing it my Self & as I have 3 Men Consont imployed working it, their wages goeth with all I can make Other ways, as I do not work at it my Self, you[ ] have your Rent the first money that is made, Beside L[ ] Wages for I mind nothing about the money that is [ ] But N.B The Quarry Fewes [?] verry well but all the Maysons about Carlisle are set aganst it for if it get Forret [?] it will stop all the Brick work as stone Comes so much Cheeper from this Quarry, so you must be as Favourable with me as you can & I will send you money as soon as Possible I can, so I desire you will speek to Sr. Phillip to be as Favourable as he can about the Rent and I will send it sa soon as I can [signed] John SANDERSON
