02 Dec 1791. LETTER ABOUT WORK NEEDED AT HARTLEY HIGH MILL. Bundle 60, Doc 5. 31 cm x 21 cm, folded in half to make four pages. The two middle pages are left blank. Decr. 1791 – ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Mr OLDMAN at Eden Hall with care ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sir I was at Robert BOUSFIELD,s at Hartley high Mill Last Sunday and he desired me to take demenchons of what things as was wanting at the Mill 2 Trinill heads 16 Inch diamiter and 3¼ Inch thick and a Nut to slide onto fan which is carred by the Cog wheel 12½ Inch diamater and 3¼ Inch thick divided into 7 teeth which answers the Cogs he carred me to see his Stable he has 4 Horses and he has neather Rack nor manger nor scarse a divishon for the Horses that will stand their is as much Oak tops laying in the Heaning as I think wood make posts Top Trees and sole Trees bords might be sawen out of some cours ash if you think proper it should be done but I shall not do it without your orders, we have got all compleeted at Hallgarth for this season beginning of Last Month Tom WINTER was paving their when we wear working their I set him out the pavement and I thing all will pleas you well it is a famous Building and comended by Hall that sees it for convenience from your very Humbel Sirvant Wharton Hall Dec 2d 1791 [signed] Thos HAMILTON
