21 Mar 1790. LETTER ABOUT A FINE. Bundle 62, Doc 6. 23 cm x 20 cm. Red seal. Appleby 21th march 1790 Mr. OLDMAN Sir / I am sorey to give you so much trouble But I beg you will be so Kind as to Lay it before Sir Philip MUSGRAVE Bart. that I have paid 25£ for the third part of an estate that is Now Let for 28£ per year & I pay all the outgoings which is almost five pounds per year onley there was asmale parshel sold to James CLARKSON And before I came to the Estate their was no manure Laid upon it for seven years so I hope His Lordship will be so Kind at to take it into Consideration And make me sum Consderable alowance in the sum I have to pay for it is Realy more than I am able to bear I am with Respects sir Your most Humble servt.
