I had cari’d the note to Warcop before I got your letter but shall give orders not to have it cal’d. Mr. HUSTWELL will be at Penrith fare. the pour Fellows at Birket grouves has had but a pour year of it this last year they have but got litle for when they cum at a peace of mettle that they think there is some hopes of geting some thing then in a Day or two working they cum to the Old Man and he has rob’d them. John DAWSON’s Men gets but Slowly down with the shaft in the Riggs it is so hard they propose to Sink Ten fatham at the botom of the hill if the water will allow then to go so deep and then they suppose they will be a good deal lower than any has been before and then they will drive into the hill which will try it to the purposes, I am Sir your humble Servt. to command [signed] John RAILTON
