18 May 1787. LETTER ABOUT WOOD AND BARK FROM THE HEANING. Bundle 60, Doc 22. 18 cm x 15 cm. Remains of a red seal and a small hole where it was broken with some loss of writing. Thos. HAMILTON 18. May 1787. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Mr DOBSON Eden Hall Cumberland ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sir I Recd yours last Tuesday thear is no doubt but the Heaning will aford wood for Laths this morning we begin felling and peeling oak wood in the Heaning for Joseph RAILTON House the old House will aford me 4 pair of siles and 2 footing beems and 9 Ribs a boot 11 foot long the whole building will have 7 pair of siles in it but I will fell no more wood than what w[ ] be wanted for the building the bark I shall gather to g[ ] and lay it as useal then you may order it after as you think proper from your Humble servant to Command Wharton [signed] Thos HAMILTON May 18th. 1787
