12 Mar 1792. LETTER ABOUT HEDGING A FIELD. Bundle 60, Doc 15. 22 cm x 19 cm. Remains of red seal and holes where it was broken. Some ink splodges. John LONGRIGG 12. March 1792 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. Jonathan OLDMAN at Edenhall. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Baron[wood] March 12th. 1792. ––– Sir As I had not ye. opportunity of seeing on Tuesday I am anxious to know how you are intended to have this Hedge Done. I am afraid it will never be kept up without it be Raild. I have Alow’d Half of ye. Field for fallows for Turnep. & I do not Intend to Sow any Corn in ye. other Part of ye. Field this year. If it was Raild any time ye. first of June it would Do, but it must be Casten as soon as ye. Weather Changes, & ye. Quicks might be Planked ye. Backend of ye. Year. You’l please to let me know whether you Intend to have it Done in yt. Form or not by ye. bearer as we must have it put forward some way & Likewise if you have any hay to Dispose of, if you coud let me have two or three Cartload.
