31 Dec 1783. RECEIPT FOR TITHES FOR BLANDSIS FARM A small very neat and clean receipt for the Tithes for Blandsis Farm, Cumbria, to the Rector of Crosby Garrett. 4” x 6”. Decr. 31th 1783 Received of Sir Philip MUSGRAVE Bart. by Christ: DOBSON Eighteen Shillings in full for one Years Prescription for the Tithe of Hay Wood and Lamb and all other small Tithes whatsoever for Blandsis Farm (except the Tithe of Bees Mortuaries Marriage Churching and Burial Fees) due last Martinmas to the Rector of Crosby Garrett which I paid to Mr. BIRDs Receiver who accepted of it as such as Witness my Hand.
