11 Aug 1790. LETTER OF THANKS FROM CARLETON. Bundle 61, Doc 46. 20 cm x 16 cm. The right margin of the letter appears to have been cut off with the loss of a couple of letters only. The writer was Mrs Elizabeth WALLACE née SIMPSON of Carleton Hall, widow of James WALLACE, MP, Solicitor General and Attorney General. Mrs. WALLACE 11th. Augst. 1790 ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sir / My Son not being at Home, must beg you to accept, my acknowledgments for your obliging attention & request when you write to Kempton Park you will assure Sr. Philip MUSGRAVE how sensible, we are, of his kind remembran[ce] at present we have no occasion for Tench but should we want, at any future time I will certainly take the liberty of asking I am Sir Your oblig’d & obedt.
