ATKINSONs this Day to Inquire about the Rent of James HIGHMOOR’s Estate at Fleetholm he sais the Rent was allwase Said to be between a Hundred pound and a Hundred guineas a year and he do’s not supose it will be any lower at present I send you two bills In for the Building at Hartley Castle the one for Nails for Slaiting lath Nails & a Lock & Lofting Nails the other for crouks & bands for the Doors, and Lath Nails for Soulby Building, John LONGSTAFF at Soulby leed four Cart load of Stones from Hartley Castle to Soulby at Eightpence per Cartload, Brother Joseph sais that he for got to give you them in with the other that he give you in. I have not got any other bils at present, you will please to let me know if I must pay those bils I’ve sent or If I must aske any of the other work men to Send in their bils the Carpinters has not finished their work the Slaits are finish’d at both places I am Sir your most Obedt.
