18 Sep 1711. SALE OF BIRCH AND ALDER TREES IN KIRKOSWALD PARKS. Bundle 4, Doc 20. 20.5 cm x 16 cm. Pher. THOMPSON Touching birches and alders bought in Baron wood. / ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Phergus THOMPSON of Lazonby haveing bought of me an hundred birches in Kirkoswald Parks for the price of tenn pounds of wch~ birches he has cutt down twenty & the rest are marked out, & haveing alsoe bought of me an hundred alder trees for three pounds fifteen shill~gs, wch~ stand in the sd. Parks to be marked out at the election of the s~d Phergus, in any part there Of which said sum~s of tenn pounds & three pounds fifteen shill~gs he has this day pd. me eight pounds & secured the payment of five pounds fifteen shill~gs to be paid me on the 2d. day of Febr. 1712 I doe therefore hereby permitt licence & authorize the said Phergus to cutt take & carry away the sd. birch & alder trees at any time before the 25th day of March which will be Ao. D~ni 1714. Dated Sept. 18o. 1711. /
