14 Mar 1857. PAY RECEIPT FOR KEEPING A DOG CALLED ADAM. A fresh, very neat and clean receipt. 4” x 7”. Edenhall March 14. 1857 Received of Sir Geo MUSGRAVE Bart by paymt of Mr DIXON Fifteen Shillings for Keeping a Dog called Adam for Ten Weeks from Octr. 18 till December the 30th 1856 at 1/6 per week by me 15s/–d [signed] Braithwaite ATKINSON
