03 Jul 1848. GOVERNESS’S EXPENSES FOR THE CHILDREN. A neat and clean receipt. 4” x 6”. Marianne BURKY was in the MUSGRAVE household at Edenhall as governess in the 1851 census. 1848. Paid for Sir George MUSGRAVEs children £. S. D. June 15th. For some Music & a Monkey 1 For a Cake 1 9 16th. To a driver of an Omnibus 1 For cakes etc. 1 19th. For a boat, and the Station house 5 23rd To a boat man 3 July 3rd. To the Coach man of the Stage Coach 10 ————————- July 3rd Received £ 1 2 9 [signed] Marianne BURKY. ==========
